About Me

I was born midcentury in the Pacific Northwest to a young doctor and nurse. My father was an atheist, my mother a wayward Christian. I grew up with every opportunity and no financial responsibility. Spirituality was not a part of our life. Family relationships were poor. I met my husband in high school and we married soon after. We grew up together, had four delightful children and still live our share of hills and valleys.

When four years old I came home from preschool and told my mother I didn’t believe in God and all that stuff. She said, “God is very important to our family.” He called me in that instant. I replied, “Oh, okay,” as he slid into the god shaped hole in my heart. I was not aware of a conversion experience knowing only I would belong to him. Hindsight shows his faithfulness ever present.

God never let go of me, incrementally building his purpose in my life. Contentment, freedom, and joy fill my senior years. Walking with Christ is a challenging but most satisfying adventure.
