Hebrews 6:17
“When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee—God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable.”
“God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.”
God’s word is unbreakable. This refers to the written word, and the living word Jesus Christ. It applies also to God’s private word to us. When God speaks into a quieted mind that has emptied itself before him that word is bound by his character. God’s word works the same in our puny lives as it did for Abraham, a giant in faith. Always, it is solid rock that can be trusted.
